When you launch Singular, it will show an empty window saying "Drag files here".
The window is ready to accept files & folders to search for duplicates.
Once dropped files onto it, the app will start comparing the files (using file properties or by applying a hashing algorithm —
by default, the MD5 digest),
then it will report a list of duplicates, if any, that have been found.
You are now free to choose which files you'd like to delete and which you'd like to
keep for every group. You won't be able to remove ALL the files — that is, almost
one of the duplicates will remain on your disk. Isn't this security?!
After choosing which files to delete, click the button Remove
and the files will be moved to the Trash. If you change your mind, files can
be easily recovered.
A log of deletions will be kept until you want to, thus allowing you to replace
the files just where they were — currently not implemented yet.
